- You and your team ensure perfect slope grooming
- You assist with snowmaking and slope maintenance

Frequently asked questions
Before your first day of work, your operations or department manager will contact you and let you know exactly where you should be. As a rule, most of our employees start their working day at the administration building of the Gaislachkoglbahn (Dorfstraße 115, 6450 Sölden) or the Giggijochbahn (Giggijochstraße 18, 6450 Sölden). From there, you can either take one of our feeder lifts or a company car to your place of work. If you have any further questions, you can ask your manager at any time!
Yes, on days on duty of course! You can purchase meal vouchers at all ticket offices of Bergbahnen Sölden. A block of 10 costs € 40, with one voucher you get a multi-course menu in our own restaurants as well as in many partner establishments.
On days off you can get everything in our restaurants at the employee price, the meal vouchers are not valid there.
Yes, if you don't live nearby or need accommodation, we are happy to offer you affordable staff accommodation. Our accommodation is in excellent condition and offers you a comfortable start to your job. Simply discuss the details with your responsible manager!
Don't worry, we'll take care of your registration with the municipality! All you have to do is give us your passport or identity card when you arrive. We'll do the rest for you.
EEA citizens who wish to stay in Austria for longer than three months must register with the district authority after this period at the latest. For this you need:
- A registration confirmation from the municipality of Sölden
- A social insurance registration confirmation (SV registration)
- A valid passport or identity card
Registration takes place at the Imst District Administration Office - Foreigners Department (office hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-12:00). Please make an appointment in advance (+43 5412 6996). The fee for the registration certificate is €15. Proof of identity, health insurance covering all risks and proof of a secure livelihood (e.g. employment contract) are required.
The registration certificate is only required once and is also valid for future stays.
After we have registered you with the social security authorities and you have received your national insurance number, you must apply for your e-card yourself. You will receive an information sheet about the necessary steps when you start work.
A few days before your first working day, you can pick up and try on your uniforms at the Bergbahnen Sölden administration building (Dorfstraße 115, 6450 Sölden) from Nicole Brugger or Antonia Holzknecht.
In winter, you can get your service pass at the Gaislachkoglbahn information counter, preferably with a passport photo. In summer, you can pick it up directly at the Gaislachkoglbahn ticket office.
You can pick up your season ticket at the ticket office of the Gaislachkoglbahn (Dorfstraße 115, 6450 Sölden) as soon as you have your first working day.
You will usually receive your employment and rental contract from your responsible manager during your first week of work. If you need confirmation in advance, the employee management team will be happy to help you (+43 5254 508 107)

Apprenticeship in ropeway technology
Ropeways are highly complex, high-tech systems. As a cable car technician, you will learn how to operate, maintain and repair cable cars and surface lifts in a 3.5-year apprenticeship. A safe and varied profession in which the areas of advising and looking after guests, the environment and nature also play a major role. The complex training makes you an all-rounder in a modern cable car company!
