The annual Ski World Cup kick-off on the Rettenbach Glacier high above Sölden heralds the start of the new season for the world's best ski professionals and is firmly linked to the destination. Equally legendary is the Electric Mountain Festival, where top DJs have been creating an unrivalled atmosphere in the ski area for over ten years. Every two years, the glacier theatre HANNIBAL brings the largest open-air performance of contemporary art to the mountain stage. And that's not all - throughout the year, customised events offer variety for all target groups.

The Ski World Cup kick-off took place in Sölden for the first time in 1993. Initially held every two years, the ski spectacle at the end of October soon became a fixed date and the giant slalom has since become indispensable.

There is also plenty to experience in Sölden in summer: The start of the Bike Republic Sölden season is celebrated every year with a spectacular bike rally. Participation is open to enduro enthusiasts and pedal fans who can look forward to exciting special stages on the saddle. At the end, cool main prizes await the three best teams.
The most recent major event in Sölden had difficulties at the start due to the weather, but thanks to the quick reaction of the organisation team, the programme was adapted flexibly and the highlights were able to take place successfully. The anticipation for the next edition can therefore begin.
