Restaurant Giggijoch
New look & feel
In 2023, the restaurant at Giggijoch was also given a new, modern look and feel. The last major investment in the guest area was made in the early 1990s. Due to the positive feedback on the previous renovations in other restaurants in the ski area, all the company's own restaurant areas are to be given a uniform, high-quality style in the coming years.
Quick service & feel-good atmosphere
The mountain restaurant on the Giggijoch offers most winter sports enthusiasts in the ski area an ideal place to refuel between descents. For a long time, the challenge was to combine fast service with a high quality of stay. Fast service was ensured by a tried-and-tested self-service restaurant concept with product islands and modern cuisine. The high quality of stay was achieved through targeted structural measures.
Impressions
Perfect timing
Thanks to the cooperation with local companies, the company's own metalworking shop and the architectural firm Wimreiter & Partner, the planned construction phase from July to November was perfectly adhered to. This meant that the first guests could be welcomed on time for the opening of the winter ski area.
Inviting places to linger
By integrating niches and cosy retreat islands, the originally heavily frequented area was designed in such a way that it invites you to linger. Since the 2023/24 winter season, a total of 205 seats have been available on a total area of 365 m², 30 of which are in the gallery.
Future plans
The terrace area and the self-service restaurant on the upper floor were deliberately left out of the current renovation work, as suitable concepts still need to be developed for the important Giggijoch restaurant. However, the renovation of these areas is planned for the coming years.
