In our new apprenticeship as an agricultural and construction machinery technician, you will work on powerful snow groomers, heavy commercial vehicles and modern construction machinery. Today's cable car systems are complex, high-tech systems. All-rounders are needed to operate, maintain and inspect them. Ropeway technicians are these specialists!
IN THE PRACTICAL TRAINING PROGRAMME YOU WILL LEARN:
the operation, maintenance and servicing of cable car systems
the service for our guests and assistance in driving operations
analysing and rectifying faults on cable cars and surface lifts
keeping records for operation and maintenance
reading and preparing technical documents such as construction drawings
basic knowledge in the areas of snowmaking, snow vehicles, cashiering, marketing and other additional training in the railway's own workshop and metalworking shop
Thanks to our flexible working time models in summer and winter, you will only be restricted to a small extent despite seasonal operations and still have enough time for an ideal work-life balance.
Winter
Work 5 days, 8.5 hours each (Monday to Friday)
Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays off (except during events)
From age 18: Work 4 days, 2 days off (rotating shift system*)
Summer
Work 4 days, 10 hours each
3 days free (Friday to Sunday)
*Your working days and days off alternate in a fixed rhythm.
Every employee in the company is entitled to 5 weeks holiday (200 hours). November to April is high season in Sölden, which means that no holidays are possible during this time. However, individual days off can of course be discussed with your direct manager.
