Our planned projects

Innovations & insights

At Bergbahnen Sölden, there is always a new project in the starting blocks - whether it's a new lift, measures to ensure snow safety, the expansion of the gastronomic offer or the improvement of safety for our guests. If you are interested in these projects with all the data, facts and insights into the planning and development, you have come to the right place.

Connection slopes 7 and 22

Slope connection

The piste link between the Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch ski resorts is set to be completed in time for the 2026/27 winter season, allowing skiers to switch between the two resorts with ease - even on stormy days when other lifts are out of operation.

NEW 6-seater chairlift

New Construction "Gratl"

For more than four decades, the Gratl has been one of the lifts at the Gaislachkogl adventure mountain. Its challenging slope in particular makes it popular with locals and sporty guests alike. In 2026, Bergbahnen Sölden will take the next step in its development. The existing double chairlift, which dates back to 1985, will be replaced by a high-performance 6-seater chairlift offering shorter journey times, greater comfort and modern cable car technology.

energy from the glacier

Photovoltaic system

A pioneering photovoltaic project is currently being implemented at the Tiefenbach Glacier at an altitude of 2,850 meters above sea level. Innovative HELIOPLANT® units are being used: these vertical, tree-like structures prevent the modules from being covered by snow in winter while minimizing the amount of space required.
