New Construction "Gratl"
For more than four decades, the Gratl has been one of the lifts at the Gaislachkogl adventure mountain. Its challenging slope in particular makes it popular with locals and sporty guests alike. In 2026, Bergbahnen Sölden will take the next step in its development. The existing double chairlift, which dates back to 1985, will be replaced by a high-performance 6-seater chairlift offering shorter journey times, greater comfort and modern cable car technology.
Initiative to Improve Slope Quality
First-class slopes are the foundation of a great skiing experience. For the 2026/27 winter season, Bergbahnen Sölden is making targeted investments in expanding its snowmaking infrastructure, primarily on the Gaislachkogl adventure mountain as well as in other areas such as Schwarzkogl and Wasserkar.
Photovoltaic system
A pioneering photovoltaic project is currently being implemented at the Tiefenbach Glacier at an altitude of 2,850 meters above sea level. Innovative HELIOPLANT® units are being used: these vertical, tree-like structures prevent the modules from being covered by snow in winter while minimizing the amount of space required.
Mutkogl T-Bar Lift
At the Tiefenbach Glacier, the renovated Mutkogl T-bar lift will begin operating at the start of the 2026/27 season. Thanks to a shorter route, modern control technology, and energy efficiency, the lift guarantees maximum reliability on the glacier surface.
