A new highlight at Gaislachkogl: both gastronomically and visually, the restaurant area at the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn cable car has been completely reinvented for the 2021/2022 winter season. The concept is reflected in the staging of contemporary food trends as well as in the generous panoramic views. Here you will find an à la carte restaurant on the first floor offering regional products and specially selected dishes, as well as a market restaurant on the ground floor with an innovative payment system, show kitchen and international delicacies. So whether you are looking for a quick snack or a long break with regional delicacies, everyone will find what they are looking for in the FALCON restaurants.

Culinary innovation

The Gaislachkogl offers a rewarding destination for active mountain enthusiasts all year round. In order to meet the culinary expectations of these sporty guests, Bergbahnen Sölden has realised two completely new restaurants at the middle station.

As with the ice Q – Austria's highest award-winning restaurant at the summit of the Gaislachkogl - the unique design and formal language of the Tyrolean architecture firm obermoser+partner characterises the design. The connecting element between the market restaurant on the ground floor and the à la carte restaurant on the upper floor is the architecture.

The architecture

Bright, high-ceilinged rooms with large panoramic glass surfaces create an appealing ambience in which the Ötztal mountains virtually take their place at the dining table. The experience of nature is even more immediate on one of the two south-facing sun terraces. Both restaurants are directly connected to the piste and can be reached via a ski bridge.

Commitment to the region

The modern service restaurant on the upper floor offers personalised service. ‘A catering experience for all the senses’ is the overriding motto here too. Connoisseurs will enjoy the regional and sustainable cuisine. The concept promises a high culinary standard including a good dose of creativity. In line with this idea, the Austrian wine selection also plays a central role.

For a quick refreshment between sports activities, we recommend stopping off at the market restaurant. It fulfils the desire to enjoy high quality food in a short space of time. In addition to well-known classics, the catering in this area offers contemporary food concepts. Vegan and vegetarian dishes round off the extensive range. 

Appetising - in the show kitchen, visitors can follow the fresh preparation of their own food live, and you can put together the ingredients for pasta, a wok pan or bowls according to your own preferences.

The innovative payment system guarantees significant time savings. The advantage: payment only has to be made after the meal. This ensures that restaurant visitors can enjoy the hot food immediately.
